A Charles 1 shilling, with the 'star' mintmark. I am informed this shilling was part of the 'Bedale' hoard. The 'star' mintmark would date it to 1641, and it would have been minted at the Tower of London.

Just sold some items

I just sold an 1898 20 Switzerland, 20 rappen coin, together with a 1 kroner of Sweden dated 1916, plus an old jeton, which was approx. 17th. Century. The jeton was a German 'Hans' one. I received about £4 odd for lot, from B Frank and Son.

This looks like an Elizabeth 1 half groat, of the London Mint. It appears to have a 'woolpack' mintmark, which would date it to 1594-96.
